Landscape Thread Painting
Instructor: Chris Eichner
Class Supplies:
- 1/4 yd. piece of fabric (batiks look natural; avoid large directional defined
prints), fabrics printed with rocks, grasses, florals or clouds can be used, but
pay attention to scale
- 1 yd. piece of muslin
- 1 yd. or one pack of Steam-a-Seam-2-Lite (avail. at ACC)
- Bobbin Fill
- Variegated threads in earth, sky, rock, leaf, etc. colors (Mettler Poly Sheen,
Mettler Silk Finish, Sulky, etc.)
- Machine needles - Embroidery size 75/11, 90/14, Metallic, Top Stitch,
etc. Bring what you have, and you can buy what you need if you don't bring
it
- Temporary Spray Adhesive (505 Spray)
- Water Soluble stabilizer
- Permanent fine point marker (Pigma)
- Small, sharp scissors
- Machingers gloves, optional but helpful
- Luscious Landscapes book by Joyce Becker -or- Quilt Savvy Landscapes
book -- optional but helpful
- Sewing machine in good working order, cords, etc.
- Free-motion darning foot required!
