If you purchased a machine at Asheville Cotton Co., don't miss our famous Machine Mastery series! Classes are ongoing and do not necessarily build on one another, so don't delay -- jump in at any point in the
schedule. We have classes on Monday nights and Tuesday mornings. Classes will last from 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Free and open to those who purchase their machine from ACC; not available otherwise.

MM1 - The Care and Feeding of Your Machine
An in-depth look at all of the basics, including types of needles and threads, cleaning, and what all those parts are.

Seams, Hems, and Zippers, oh my! We'll also learn about saving and combining stitches.

MM3 - Buttons and Bows
Learn how to make buttonholes, sew buttons on with the machine, a little bit about applique, and tie-quilting using your machine.

MM4 - Gather It Up, and Tuck It Down and Quilt it All Over
We'll work on a few fun things with gathers, pintucks, real tucks, and even get some quilting, including using a 1/4" foot, a walking foot, freemotion feet, and the BSR if you have it.

MM5 - Zippers, Piping, Couching, and Lots of other Fun Things
Learn all about piping, fringing, faggoting, bundling (yes, these are real sewing terms). We'll also do zippers (painless!), couching, and thread painting!

MM6 - Embroidery Basics (for machines with Embroidery Function Only)
Start from the beginning with your embroidery and we'll work on stitching out your name. Also, an in-depth look at stabilizers and embroidery threads. If your machine does multi-directional stitching, we'll do that, too.
