Mariner's Compass Quilt

Learn how easy it is to make beautiful stars using paper piecing methods! Believe it or not, your stars will always come out with perfect points! We'll use Carol Doak's "Mariner's Compass Stars" book, and you'll get to make several stars while in class. This is a perfect class for those who have been afraid to try paper piecing.

Take your own photo (or use Chris's) and turn it into a beautiful landscape art quilt! You will use layered batik fabrics and different kinds of threads to "paint" a landscape. For two days, you'll be able to escape into a world of color and freemotion thread painting. You do not need to have any previous experience with thread painting, free motion, or even quilting! And any machine can do it.
