Come check out the newest machines from Baby Lock and Janome! The Baby Lock Altair features embroidery, a large throat area, lots of light, a huge screen, a huge embroidery field (9-1/2" x 14") and exclusive IQ Technology. IQ Technology allows you to transfer photos and clip art from your phone or smart device and turn them into embroideries. You have to see it to believe it! The IQ Technology also allows you to take a photo of what you have hooped and then transfer that image to the machine. This allows you to place designs *exactly* where you want them into the hoop. The all-new Meridian is the embroidery-only version of this machine. Come let us show you how powerful and easy it is to use or check it out here.
The all-new Janome Continental M7 Professional boasts the largest throat space in the home sewing machine market -- an incredible 13.5" of sewing space! It also is very fast, has a 9mm stitch width and the AccuFeed Plus system to help with quilting, binding and more. If you ever had a Janome 6500 or 6600 and loved it, you owe it to yourself to come check it out! You can also see the specs here.
We have some new classes starting up, including a super fun "Suzy's Sack" bag class, new doll classes and more. Check them out here. If there is wintry weather in the area, be sure to check our website at www.ashevillecottonco.com for closing announcements. We try to get a closing announcement up by 8:30am when there are morning classes scheduled.
The Upstate South Carolina Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is excited about setting up a new neighborhood site here in Asheville. Local chapters host social events such as fashion shows and sewing fairs and many do sewing related service projects for their community. The ASG website offers educational videos, projects and more. All members can increase their sewing confidence, expand their skills, enjoy the company of others and enjoy the annual Conference. Our new neighborhood group will meet on the Friday, February 7, from 10:15 to noon here at the store. Come join us for refreshments and fellowship. We will be discussing the ongoing activities of our chapter, along with the upcoming plans for this new neighborhood site. Everyone is invited to be a part of the plans -- Members and non-members are welcome. See you here! (Please be sure to check our website that morning if the weather looks iffy.)
