We are excited to announce the dates of the 2016 Asheville Cotton Co. Customer Quilt Show.
This is the quilt show for the rest of us! Our quilt show is different from other shows in that you don't have to be an expert to enter the show or to win. Any size project is welcome, and it doesn't even have to be quilted yet to enter!
We will be taking entries from Friday, May 6 through Saturday, May 14. Everyone who enters will receive a prize from us! Quilts will hang in our store from Monday, May 23 through June 4. Voters will vote by making donations toward their favorite quilts.
This year, all donations will go to the MANNA FoodBank here in Asheville.
The quilt makers whose quilts receive the most money in donations to MANNA will win valuable prizes! In addition to voting with donations, voters will also get one free vote for their very “Favorite Quilt” and one free vote for their favorite “Beginner’s Quilt” (the entrant has been quilting for less than a year). The winners in these categories will also win prizes. So far, prizes include a Bernina 215 sewing machine and a Baby Lock Sofia2 sewing and embroidery machine!
In past years, we have raised several thousand dollars each year for charity with this event. We always look forward to this show, and to seeing all the things you've made this year. Remember, your quilt will not be judged on quality, the entry is free, you'll get something just for entering, and it all goes toward a good cause.

The fifth annual ACC Quilt Show starts Tuesday, Our customers have brought in almost 70 awesome quilts for our show this year! We are very excited to be able to show off their work while earning money for MANNA FoodBank. Our generous customers have raised between $2500-$3500 per year. MANNA turns each dollar they receive into an incredible THREE meals, so you can see how important this event is to our local community.
How it works: Get one FREE vote for your very favorite quilt. After that, if you choose to donate money, you may give money toward a quilt or quilts in whatever amount you wish. The quilts that receive the most free "Favorite" votes and the most money donated will be awarded the grand prizes! From there, prizes will be awarded according to donations raised. If you have a quilt in the show, be sure to ask your friends, family and coworkers to vote with donations! We will be accepting donations via telephone, and will let you know as soon as the quilt show is up on our Facebook page.
