Friday, September 21, 10a-5p This September marks Asheville Cotton Co.'s 21st year in business! We want to thank all of you for your patronage through the years. Come by and celebrate with us this Friday, September 21st. We'll be having a 21st birthday party for the shop. The twist is this is a "Plus One Party." We are asking that everyone bring a NON-sewing friend with them. Each pair of sewist and non-sewists will receive a raffle ticket... There will be two chances to win a free sewing machine for both you AND your friend! That's right, we're giving away a total of four sewing machines! We love what we do, and we know you do, too. We want more people to fall in love with sewing and quilting! The two machines will come with our Machine Mastery classes so your non-sewing friend can learn how to sew. Enter the drawing from 10am until 5pm on Friday, September 21st. You and your "plus one" must visit together to enter. Drawings for all four sewing machines will be at 5pm, but you do not need to be present to win. We'll have other drawings for other prizes as well. Bra-La-La Bra Decorating Contest for Breast Cancer
You know we love to give back to our community here at Asheville Cotton Co. In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, we're going to start another tradition. We're going to have a "Bra-La-La" bra decorating contest! All proceeds from this event will go to Hope Chest for Women. Hope Chest for Women offers limited financial assistance to women in Western NC who are undergoing breast or gynecological cancer treatment. This non-profit was created because women often must choose between receiving treatment and providing for their families. Hope Chest assists with financial burdens such as rent and utility bills, gas and transportation, medical bills and co-pays, lymphedema garments, food, and other unmet needs. Typically, clients are referred by hospitals and physicians, etc. I can't wait to see your "uplifting" ideas! Decorated Art Bra entries will be due on October 1.
