20. "Nesting" Story: While nesting at home during this time of self distancing and staying at home, I attacked my stash of both patterns and fabric. I found four of the McKenna Ryan “Nesting” patterns that I bought while vacationing in Minnesota last summer. This seemed like an appropriate group to work on during this time. My next problem was finding fabric since I could not go to ACC and pick what I wanted. Fortunately my stash of batiks revealed some that would be appropriate, maybe not my first choices, but workable. The quilting consisted of free motion around and thread painting within the applique. I then used bead enhancement for the birds’ eyes and the flower centers. This will be a small spring wall hanging for my home.
