Thread Painting with Chris Eichner - "Hedgehog Hollow"

Save the date! Join Chris Eichner to thread paint your very own hedgehog hollow! Panels are on reserve at Asheville Cotton Co, ask for yours at the counter or email us at ashevillecottonco@gmail.com to order yours!

Supplies:
-A sewing machine in good working order with a freemotion or darning foot
-Hedgehog Hollow panel - these are on hold at Asheville Cotton Co specifically for this class, ask for yours at the counter!
-An assortment of threads for thread painting, such as mettler polysheen in 3-4 shades of brown, greens, reds, blues, cream, white etc. Get creative! Use whatever colors you see in the panel or what colors you want to add! 
-Sulky Sliver holographic thread available at ACC for glistening detail.
-Muslin for making the panel larger and easier to work with
-Backing fabric, 1/2 yd
-Binding fabric, 1/3 yd, we will not get to binding in class
-Batting

HOMEWORK:
Trim your hedgehog panel down to size, then add a 3" border of muslin to make the piece larger and easier to work with when we are thread painting.
Baste this to your batting and backing.
