optional extension table to fit your model machine provides easier movement of fabric during thread painting. Free motion embroidery is not possible with a normal sewing foot
THREADS: for bobbin suggested; Aurifil, Sulky Cotton & Steele, Mettler Or your favorite 50 wt. thread for the bobbin
Embroidery threads: I like to use 40 wt. poly sheen threads which have a sheen but you can use cotton 50 wt. to embellish leaves, tree, sky, bench, pathway etc.
Gold, aqua, orange, cranberry red, royal blue, look at your panel to see colors you would like to use for embellishing elements.
Sulky Metallic “Sulky” SLIVER #145-8040 an opalescent thread, Sliver is the type not the color
Machine must be in good working order, check for lint.
Both the straight and zigzag stitch will be used to embellish
Know how to adjust your upper thread tension, how to lower feed dog
Also ifyou have a vertical spool pin holder the vertical spool holder all the thread to
come off the spool in a straight line
After the panel has been completely thread painted you can add borders or not,
Be sure to square panel before adding borders, make a 3 layer quilt sandwich
of panel, batting, backing. You then will quilt with meandering straight stitch
with invisible thread. You may face or use binding to finish and add a sleeve for
use with a dowel. This will be accomplished at home
Please bring your sewing machine manual.
