The Range Backpack by Noodlehead!
A useful and fun backpack to make! It’s great for any outing where you need to be hands free! The foldover top and closure keep things secure, while the front zippered pocket keeps essentials within easy reach. Adjustable straps make it wearable in any season!
Finished Dimensions:
15in tall (closed), 10-1/2in wide x 4in deep (at base)
Supplies:
Exterior fabric: 3/4 yd
Contrast bottom fabric: 1/2 yd
Lining fabric (includes exterior closure, straps, and interior pocket): 1 1/2 yds
Fusible woven interfacing (Pellon SF101): 3 1/2 yds
Medium weight fusible interfacing (Pellon 809): 1 yd
(2) 1 1/2" wide rectangle rings & (2) 1 1/2" wide strap sliders
(1) 8" zipper for front pocket
Additional supplies and tools:
A sewing machine
Polyester thread
Marking pen
Cutting mat (2 will be available in the classroom)
Ruler (1-2 will be available in the classroom)
Rotary cutter
Glue pen
Size 14 or 16 denim or microtex needle
Turning tool
505 Spray baste
Walking foot
HOMEWORK:
Cut out and label all fabric pieces.
