Thank You Again!

Thank you so very much for all of the donations you guys have given us. We're overflowing with sewing supplies and machines for victims of Hurricane Helene! Our Tennessee friends at Gina's Bernina in Knoxville and Bernina in Stitches in Johnson City have also generously gathered supplies for the effort.

Thanks to you guys, we've been able to provide machines and supplies for seven people so far. We're looking for even more people to donate to. If you know of someone who lost their sewing machines or supplies, please contact us at ashevillecottonco@gmail.com or call us at 828-277-4100. We realize they may not be quite ready to take the supplies, but if they can at least let us know what they need, that would be awesome.

We have also found out our local Project Linus group lost everything in their Black Mountain storage closet. I'm working with them to replace some things, but especially if you happen to have extra 1" curved safety pins, they would love to have them. They pin the quilts and then take them home to quilt, so they need several hundred of these pins. Also, if you have extra solid or marbled cotton fabric, they could especially use that for sashings and bindings. You can drop it off here at the shop.

And finally, we've received quilt and pillowcase donations from all over. A big shout-out to everyone who has sent items. Thank you so very much. You can really feel the love put into each and every piece. One group, the Longmont Quilt Guild in Longmont, Colorado, sent three huge boxes full of beautiful quilts. Quilts and pillowcases will be distributed to those who lost their homes. It's such a loving gesture!
