25. "Isewlation 2020" Pattern: A design by Bonnie Hunter called Unity that she created on a weekly basis during the quarantine. Story: This is such an unusual period in time and history that I felt compelled to join and work on it as a tribute to all those who are affected by this virus. Quilts were always used to express feelings and thoughts of the people who created them during various periods in history. I knew I had to be a part of the statement for Covid 19 and how it impacted the entire globe. The fabrics were mostly from two jelly rolls called Hemming House by Moda that my daughter, Noelle, gifted me a couple of years ago. Had to cut thousands of pieces (544 for the row I'm working on now) that I feel represents just a fraction of those who lost their battle with Covid. It's still a work in progress, two more rounds to complete as I took some time off to sew some masks. But enough of it was done to share on my porch rail. Hope you all like it.
