Diagonal Magic Seam Tape

Make half-square triangles, flying geese and more.... with no marking. It's Magic!

Simply place the Diagonal Magic Seam Tape starting with the red line directly in front of the needle and bring forward as far as you can. You will want to use a ruler lined up against the side of the presser foot to get the Magic Tape straight.

To sew down a center line with no marking:
Start sewing with the tip of the square under the needle. Line up the corner that's closest to you on the red line. Keep sewing, watching that the corner closest to you stays on the red line.

To sew a 1/4" on either side of center:
Start sewing with the tip of the square lined up with one of the black lines on the Magic Tape. Line up the corner of the square on the other black line. Keep sewing, watching that the corner closest to you stays on the black line.

The longer your Magic Tape line, the larger the line you can sew. If your square is too long, you can put the tape directly on the fabric and sew through it. It's easiest to remove if you use a short stitch.

You can also use Diagonal Magic Seam Tape as a guide to sew 1/4" seams anywhere, not just diagonally.
